![]() ![]() ![]() But when you start your music say on bar 2 and you park at bar 1 the sequencer is not stopped at all at bar 2 it is already running. The difference is when you are at Bar 1 beat 1 the sequencer is stopped and then you hit play so the sequencer needs to do stuff first. You can’t do that if you are trying to start on beat 1 bar 1 all the time. The problem is of course while the sequencer is getting ready to play, that very first note etc sometimes gets dropped.Īlso if you want to put in program changes or any data (automation) before the first beat of your music you can also do it. Problems that simply go away when you move your whole arrangement to start on beat 1 bar 2/3 instead. You can use beat 1 bar1 of course and most of the time it will work but what I have found over the years is that also you can get some occasional problems too. Give a me a really good reason please why you cannot start your session on bar 2/3. regardless of how the part was created - be it through sheet metal, extruding a bend profile and converting to SM & unfolding, or after using. Come to think of it I have not made a successful bend note on IDW since updating to INV19.4. Yes I am serious avoid using bar 1 beat 1. Hi all, i am having trouble getting bend notes to show up on my IDW. Glide notes are marked with a little dark triangle bottom red arrows in pic. You're kidding, right? Are you seriously saying avoid using bar 1 beat 1? To use glide notes, click on the little triangle (this turns it dark) at top red arrow in pic. Stay away from bar 1! There is no reason to start your session there. But you must have pre record set for this to capture those notes and it won't work on bar 1 obviously because nothing can really happen before bar 1 really. Another reason for midi notes not recording on a downbeat is that you played them slightly early. (I can see why you may think not so as all the settings for this are in the audio preferences area but yes it works)īut on bar 1 I doubt it. Yes Lawrence Midi is pre recorded before you actually go into record. It might be missing the first note because the sequencer is trying to do stuff before it starts playing. Yet another reason why you should never start your music on bar 1. If it works on another bar apart from bar 1 then you have nothing to worry about. Does it do it if you move the event to bar 3 for example. Jemusic wroteAre you trying to achieve this on bar 1 at the start of the session. ![]()
